New VR Games Coming This Week: April 19 – April 23rd 2021

Between Steam Early Access, PSVR, and Oculus Quest, it can be a challenge to keep track of what’s coming out. We spent a few minutes rounding up all of the new releases coming this week and put it all together for you right here!

While the recently released launch trailer for InnerspaceVR’s latest puzzle game Maskmaker suggests it’s coming to PSVR, Steam, and Oculus, as of this writing, it isn’t listed on the Coming Soon section for Quest or the Rift S. It is, however, confirmed on the PlayStation Store and Steam, so at least we know it will be available somewhere. It’s from the maker of the acclaimed A Fisherman’s Tale, so it’s worth keeping an eye on. Check out the launch trailer below.

This next one you’ll find on Steam Early Access and is free to play. It’s called Cards and Tankards and promises to allow you to relax in a tavern and play cards with friends. I’ve never played cards in a tavern before, but it doesn’t sound like to worst way to spend an evening. You can pick this one up on April 20, 2021, from developer Divergent Realities.

On April 21, 2021, you’ll find another Steam Early Access title. This one is Argil and it allows you to sculpt some amazing-looking 3D models. Admittedly, this one is more software than game, but it does look fairly cool, to be honest. It’s from developer Valkyrie Industries and will be here in a few days.

The last notable release this week may be the most anticipated. It’s Wraith: The Oblivian – Afterlife for both the Oculus Quest and Rift S. This one is a horror title from Fast Travel Games, the makers of The Curious Case of the Stolen Pets. I know what you’re thinking: from possibly the cutest game of all time to a terrifying-looking horror game sounds like a good way to traumatize someone. I can respect that. If it’s like most of the other horror games I’ve played, I’ll try it and chicken out before I see the end. A steam version of the game will release May 25, while the PSVR version lands later this year.
