VR Skater Grinds Into Early Access This Month

Grab your virtual board as developer Deficit Games just announced that VR Skater is coming to Steam Early Access on April 30th.

VR Skater is a game we’ve been eager to try since we learned of its development back in 2019 and this latest trailer has us even more psyched to try it out. Check out this just-released gameplay trailer below:

Developer Deficit Games hopes to release the full game sometime in quarter four of 2021 with a full career mode, more maps, online leader boards, and over 15 songs. The early access version will launch with custom-built environments, a Skate Academy (read: tutorial), and the ability to skate the game’s environments freely.

VR Skater will support Valve Index, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift at launch. No word on a Quest or PSVR version at this time, but both were on the roadmap back in 2019. With the success of the Quest 2 and the excitement for Sony’s upcoming headset, you can bet that VR Skater will find its way to both platforms if it manages to stick its landing in early access.
