Solaris Offworld Combat Landing on PSVR This Spring

First Contact Entertainment’s follow up to the excellent PSVR exclusive Firewall Zero Hour will arrive on Sony’s headset this spring. Solaris Offworld Combat released for the Oculus Quest back in September, leaving PSVR players on the outside looking in.

While Firewall Zero Hour is a slow paced tactical shooter with real world weapons and equipment, Solaris Offworld Combat turned it’s focus to a more futuristic, fast-paced setting. Playing Solaris on release day on the Quest, Chris said in our review that some of the design choices seemed to be made with the PSVR Aim controller in mind. While the game has seen several updates that have improved the gameplay since release, we’re all excited to test it out with the Aim controller.

In addition to a digital release on the PlayStation Store, a physical release is set to release via Perp Games sometime in Spring as well. Perp Games is a global video games publisher of some of the most recognized franchises, including a strong collection of PSVR games.

A representative from First Contact Entertainment had this to say about their partnership with Perp Games:

We’re pleased to announce that we’ll be working with PSVR specialist Perp Games to bring you the boxed version of Solaris Offworld Combat. We know how great it feels to hold a game in your hands, and we can’t wait for all of our fans to grab a copy!”

For now, all we know is that Solaris Offworld Combat will be available sometime this Spring. Hopefully we’ll get exact release date soon.
