Pixel Ripped 1989 to Receive Extremely Limited Physical Pink Cassette Edition on PSVR

The excellent first installment of the retro VR adventure series Pixel Ripped 1989 is finally getting a physical edition for the PSVR. Developer Arvore and physical publisher Perp Games have just announced the special edition, which will go on sale on April 12 only at the Perp Games Store. There are only 1,500 copies of this limited edition so you’ll want to hurry on this one.

In addition to the very cool pink cassette edition, Perp Games is also offering a standard physical edition of the game, which will be available for as long as there is a demand. The pink cassette version will feature a retro-inspired game box, and the pink cassette will house a USB drive full of digital goodies such as the official soundtrack, wallpaper, and exclusive art. You’ll also find a limited edition set of 3 postcards, one of which is signed by the Game Director herself, Ana Ribeiro.

Preorders are live starting today from the Perp Games Store. The limited-edition will cost you £29.99, while the regular edition will cost £19.89. The digital version is only $14.99 across all platforms, including Steam, Oculus, and PSVR. You can also play both Pixel Ripped 1989 and Pixel Ripped 1995 on the Oculus Quest, but you’ll have to buy Pixel Ripped 1989 as DLC for the sequel.
